Au revoir, Kyan??

A few days a go, my sister suggested me to sell Kyan. Honestly, I'm not sure if I'm all prepared to do that.

He's been there for me since early 2004, in good and bad times. He's always there to allow me do my uni work, AIESEC work, watch movies with, play games with, even applying for jobs.

He's travelled with me to Australia and Tunisia. And a transit in Germany.

He helps me to be in touch with my friends overseas. He's there when I want to vent out my feelings. He has all the memories I want to keep.

He can be frustrating when he has virus. But nonetheless, I love him to death.

He is Kyan...

He's my lap top.

And I'm not sure if I want to give him up.

Je t'adore, Kyan!!

PS: yes, I did name him after the guy from Queer Eye... because he was very well-groomed when I saw him the first time. He's a bit rugged now, though :D

Have just realised..

...since what'd happened just last month, I have become such a bad friend.

I didn't know Ali's running for AI.... Best of the very best of luck, Ali!!
I didn't know that Sultan's already back in Nebraska.... Very nice of you, Sultan!
I didn't know Grace is on her training for the Dept of Foreign Affairs.... Congrats, Grace!
And I just find out last week that Tya's probably going for an international MC... Good luck, Tya!

And I know that there are still billions of things that I haven't found out from my other friends...

I'm really sorry, guys.

He said what??

"Kalau kita lihat para korban itu masih ketawa. Jangan sampai dikondisikan seolah-olah dunia mau kiamat seperti yang televisi Anda [SCTV] katakan demikian."
"If we looked at the victims, they're still grinning. Don't make it seems as if it's doomsday, like you [SCTV] have said."
Indonesia's welfare minister Abulrizal Bakrie, commenting to one of Indonesia's national television network SCTV on media coverage on the latest flood that hit Jakarta. The flood has taken up to 48 lives as recorded on Tuesday, 6 Feb. Close to 70% of Jakarta was covered with water over the weekend.
(Siz's comment: Uuh... That's probably because the flood really is a disaster...and the victims are just trying to ease their pain...??)

Care for some water, Australia?

Hello, world! I am fine!

Yes, there’s this massive flood in Jakarta, which affect most of the transportations and telecommunications network in Jakarta. During the weekend, 70% of Jakarta was covered with water. My house is all fine, but in some areas, water went as high as the roof.

“Thanks” to the flood, I wasn’t able to finish the press release I was assigned to (thus had to ask one of my friends who lived in Bandung to email Michelle for me) and couldn’t go to work for a day.

I blame everything to Sutiyoso, Jakarta’s governor, for his ambitions to build mega-projects such as the monorail and the bus lines (they call it “busway” here in Jakarta) instead of fixing the drainage. So help me God! (side note: he’s planning to run for the next presidency elections… Uuhh… Let’s just hope that Yudhoyono will double term, shall we?)

I'm still, however, thinking how can I send all these water to Australia...
